I was told about a certain group of teachers learning how to blog. I thought it was interesting and realized I didn't really know exactly what a blog was, why you'd use it, or what I would type about. Since I made my account in June I've had it in the back of my mind. Of course people have their own interests and usually have specific blogs. I tend to be a little scatter brained and through the last 4.5 years of school I haven't been able to enjoy the little things that I love. My creativity has been lacking due to being right brained for soo long.
Since I graduated in December, I've been trying to find a job but that is really tough in this economy. The jobs I have applied for I am overqualified for. I never thought I'd ever be overqualified for something. In the mean time, I continue to do some substitute teaching. The kids have kept my spirits up and let me know they want me there. SUCH SWEETHEARTS!
I attempted to get my creative side back just sitting down with art supplies and put things together. That doesn't feel right anymore. I guess it's not for me. During the summer I started to make beer. There has been a drought since I can't control the temperature in the house, so I've only made two batches. This is my new hobby. Unfortunately, I can't do it year around and do small batches because I'm the only beer drinker in the house. It's a very special treat filled with love, patience, and time. I'm ready for May so I can make an Irish Red!
I'm thinking now that this blog might just be about life after college. We'll see how this goes.
